Smokey Timbers Facilities

Below is a description of the facilities available for use at Smokey Timbers Camp, a venue catered to organization and family groups - please note: individual campsites are not available, they are an add-on to the Main Camp rental.  For Rental information, please click on Rental Info below.  Before then, take some time to learn what the camp has to offer, what you may be interested in, and how it may fit you and your groups' needs.

The Lake & Boathouse

Lake Miltona is one of the premier lakes in the Alexandria Lakes Area.  Smokey Timbers features 550' of pristine lakeshore with a swimming area, dock and sandy lake bottom.  The boathouse has a variety of equipment for your use - canoes, kayaks, paddleboards (both adult and youth), paddleboats and lifejackets, along with a couple of aluminum boats.   A dock is available for boating, swimming, and fishing activities.  If fishing is on our to-do list, Lake Miltona has excellent fishing, and is one of the few to offer muskie fishing!

The Screen House & Camp Deck

The Screen House & Camp Deck is the hub of the camp.  With the Kitchen, Bath/Shower House and fire pit all adjacent, it's no wonder.  The Screen House provides shelter from rain and bugs and is equipped with a stone fireplace for cooking or staying warm on colder days.  It is ideal for hosting group and family gatherings to enjoy the outdoors with the convenience of having things close at hand.

Kitchen Building

Conveniently located near the Screen House, the kitchen is fully stocked with what you'll need to store food and prepare meals for your group. The facility contains: large commercial sink, potable hot and cold running water, refrigerator, pots, pans, stove, and both a refrigerator and freezer. There are also tables available for food preparation.

Bunkhouse Cabin

The Bunkhouse has an 8-10 person capacity. It includes bunk beds, kitchen with stove and refrigerator, and a bathroom. Although there is running water within the bunkhouse during the summer, it is shut off in the winter with a water source close by.  A front deck overlooks Lake Miltona to enjoy the view. This is a nice unit to rent for a small gathering or retreat.

Lions Den Camper Cabin

NEW!

The Lions Den Camper Cabin, supplies donated by the Miltona Lions Club, is a little like a camper and a little like a cabin.  There are plenty of bunks in this building to comfortably sleep 8-10 people.  The wood burning fireplace heats up the space quickly.  Our guests are going to love their time together here!
