Backyard Chickens for Beginners

So you want to keep chickens but don’t know where to start? This class is for you! Backyard chicken keeping has many practical and rewarding benefits and can be relatively easy to incorporate into most backyards. We’ll discuss the very basics of equipment & space needs, building & maintaining your flock, and answer your questions on how to keep chickens happy and healthy. This class will have a focus on keeping laying hens for egg production as opposed to raising chickens for meat or competitive showing. You’ll leave the class with the information and confidence you need to take the plunge into this rewarding hobby.
